With that in mind, we want to share an important update regarding Petainer kegs supplied by Country Malt Group.
Petainer has identified manufacturing and processing issues that may have resulted in defects affecting a small number of kegs. Based on our review, approximately 2% of the inventory we have shipped may be impacted.
Because the potential issue is not limited to specific batches, customers should confirm that each keg is pressurized before filling it.
We know how important product quality, safety, and reliability are to your operation, so we want to make sure you have clear information about what to do if you believe you have an affected product and how to properly handle and store your kegs.
What to Do If You Have Concerns About a Keg?
If you notice an issue with a Petainer keg or believe a keg you received may be affected, we’re here to help make the process as straightforward as possible.
Please submit the concern through Country Malt Group’s standard claims process, just as you would for any other product claim. Please contact our Claims team at cmgclaims@souffletmalt.com. Our team will work with you to review the issue and help determine the appropriate next steps.
When submitting your claim, please include your order number, photos of the product, keg batch information, and a description of the issue.

As an added precaution, Country Malt Group recommends storing all Petainer kegs indoors, away from direct sunlight, in a temperature-controlled environment. This recommendation is intended to err on the side of caution and provide an additional level of protection for the product.
Before filling a Petainer keg, confirm that it is pressurized and inspect it for any visible signs of damage. If a keg is deflated or damaged, do not fill it and submit a claim through the standard process described above.
