A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT TO SUPPORT WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA

By Chris Lovett

At Country Malt Group, we believe in the power of community, especially in times of hardship. That’s why we are honored to support the Higher Calling Beer Collaboration, a nationwide project led by Asheville-based brewery, DSSOLVR. We’re proudly donating the essential ingredients for this collaborative Hazy IPA recipe, which is being brewed to support the rebuilding efforts in Western North Carolina following the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

Hurricane Helene, a powerful Category 4 storm, left widespread destruction in its wake, impacting local infrastructure, homes, and businesses across Western North Carolina (WNC). Asheville, renowned for its vibrant craft beer scene, was not spared. Many beloved breweries and small businesses that play an essential role in the area’s identity and economy have been severely affected.

Higher Calling is more than just a beer. It represents a collective effort to rally around those affected, bringing breweries together to raise funds for the Western North Carolina community. Each participating brewery will brew their own version of the Hazy IPA recipe, contributing to the fundraising through their sales. The proceeds from these sales will be donated to the NC Craft Brewers Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization managed by the NC Brewers Guild.

Join us in supporting the rebuild of Asheville’s beer community, helping restore the vibrant and innovative craft beer culture that makes Western North Carolina so special.
