Ales for ALS brings breweries together with a shared purpose: to fund critical research in the fight against ALS. Through this program, breweries across the country and around the world brew a dedicated beer and donate proceeds to the ALS Therapy Development Institute. It is a powerful example of what this industry can do when it rallies around something bigger than beer.
Our role is simple but meaningful. By providing discounted Great Western and Canada Malting base malts, we help lower the cost of production for participating breweries. That means more of their proceeds can go directly toward research. It is one small way we can help remove barriers and make participation more accessible for brewers of all sizes.
This partnership aligns closely with our values. We believe in building strong communities, supporting our customers, and using our position in the supply chain to make a positive impact. Each year, around 325 breweries across all 50 states and six countries take part in the program. Since 2013, more than $10 million has been raised to support ALS research. Those numbers represent real progress, driven by a community that cares.
